What is Sialadenitis?
Sialadenitis is inflammation of a salivary gland, most often caused by a bacterial infection or a blockage from a salivary stone. It typically presents as pain, swelling and tenderness near the jaw, cheek or under the chin. It may worsen with eating as saliva production increases.
