Conor W. McLaughlin, MD

Conor W. McLaughlin

Comprehensive Otolaryngologist

Dr. McLaughlin is a comprehensive otolaryngologist. He focuses on the medical and surgical treatment of most ear, nose and throat disorders in children and adults. He has a particular interest in endoscopic sinus surgery/rhinology, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, minimally invasive salivary gland surgery (sialendoscopy), treatment of benign and malignant head and neck tumors, sleep surgery and endoscopic laryngeal surgery.

Although he spent his formative years growing up in South Carolina, joining Sacramento Ear, Nose & Throat is a homecoming of sorts for Dr. McLaughlin, as he was born here in Sacramento. Dr. McLaughlin attended the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in biochemistry. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. He subsequently returned to California to complete his residency in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the University of California at San Francisco. While in training, Dr. McLaughlin received numerous awards and recognition for his research, which included work on novel treatments for acquired forms of hearing loss and voice outcomes in patients with vocal cord paralysis. His research has been published in national and international peer-reviewed journals, and he has presented at national meetings around the country. Dr. McLaughlin is board-certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr. McLaughlin focuses on the treatment of the patient, not simply the disease. He values the relationships he maintains with his patients and aims to be a staunch patient advocate. Dr. McLaughlin offers both traditional and novel treatments for a multitude of ear, nose and throat complaints. He is also skilled at performing minimally invasive, in-office procedures that allow for treatment options outside of the operating room.

When not in the office, Dr. McLaughlin is an avid trail runner, cycler and open-water swimmer. He enjoys taking advantage of the numerous outdoor opportunities here in Northern California and spending time with his family.
