What is Postnasal Drip?
Postnasal drip is the sensation of mucus collecting in the back of the throat or dripping down from the nasal passages, often triggering a persistent cough, throat clearing or a scratchy throat.
Postnasal drip from a passing cold usually resolves within a week or two, but you should seek medical attention if it becomes chronic, disrupts your sleep or is accompanied by facial pain or pressure.
