Shalin Pandya
Allergist
Initially, I decided to pursue a career in medicine to understand and treat diseases that had inflicted my family members. Chronic disease can cause a significant burden on the quality of life for patients and their families. After obtaining my Bachelor of Science in Microbiology at the University of California, San Diego, I went to medical school at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. I pursued training in internal medicine, and as Chief Resident of my program, I had the pleasure of teaching medical students and residents. I personally have suffered from allergies my entire life, and therefore, I developed a keen interest in this field. I completed my fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center.
I was also able to present my research at several scientific conferences and publish articles in peer-reviewed journals. My clinical and research interests include asthma, anaphylaxis, food allergies and allergic rhinitis. I am well-trained to treat the entire range of diseases in the field of Allergy and Immunology across all age ranges.
