POSITION SUMMARY
Under the Direction of the Executive Director, the Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, financial planning, revenue cycle management, accounting, and reporting. This role ensures the financial integrity and sustainability of the organization by providing strategic financial leadership and operational support. This position plays a critical role in optimizing financial performance, managing risk, and guiding long-term financial planning in a complex and dynamic healthcare environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Proactively develops analyzes and interprets key financial performance indicators in terms of profitability performance against budget and trends in order to recommend corrective action.
- Lead the development and execution of financial strategy in support of the organization’s goals.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Manage cash flow, capital planning, and investment strategies.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of any findings.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Provides assistance with special projects such as the evaluation of new potential business opportunities and the development of related proformas and business plans.
- Oversee fiscal and operating reporting activities and systems.
- Oversee the organization’s banking activities and manage the audit process.
- Oversee business insurance plans and healthcare coverage analysis.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Education (or substitute experience) and experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
- CPA or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive financial management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare finance, including reimbursement models, cost accounting, and revenue cycle operations.
- Experience with financial reporting systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power BI and Sage software.
- Exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional teams.
Travel:
- Ability to travel to and work at various office locations based on staffing needs and schedule.

- Ability to work per variable demands of the clinic with flexibility to meet daily changes in clinic.

- Skills in preparing financial statements with minimal audit adjustments.

Pay: $100,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
