Deanne Nyland

Otolaryngologist

Dr. Deanne Nyland practices general otolaryngology with a special interest in surgical solutions for sleep apnea.  She enjoys treating the entire breadth of medical and surgical disorders of the head and neck in both children and adults. That variety is what initially brought her to the specialty.

A native of Seattle, Dr. Nyland obtained her undergraduate degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. There, she majored in chemistry and dance. From there, she attended Vanderbilt University for medical school and completed her residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Kentucky. After completing her training, she moved with her soon to be husband to Sacramento, where she has enjoyed practicing and being a member of the community ever since.

Dr. Nyland holds various leadership positions in the area, including Chief of Surgery at Mercy San Juan Medical Center. She serves on a national board for physician engagement for CommonSpirit Health and is actively involved in efforts to promote physician wellness.
