POSITION SUMMARY
Provide technical assistance to providers and staff, installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools,ultimately ensuring prompt and accurate customer service and increase client satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance, address user tickets regarding hardware, software and networking
- Diagnose technical, hardware, software, or networking issues. Test alternative pathways until issue is resolved
- Guide employees/providers through technical issues including installing applications and computer peripherals with simple, step-by-step instructions
- Record technical issues and solutions in logs
- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
- Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
- Any other responsibility as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to travel to the Sacramento & Central Valley, CA
- A reliable vehicle and current driver’s license is required.
- Ability to work flexible hours (6:00 AM to 5:00 PM) including week ends and after hours when necessary
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge
- Knowledge of Windows 10/11 including Windows Server 2019/2022Operating Systems
- Knowledge of Active Directory (preferred)
- Familiar with remote troubleshooting techniques.
- Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, like printers and scanners
- Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs
Skills
- Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and multitasking skills
- Customer-oriented attitude
Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Experience required
Proven work experience as a Desktop/IT Support Technician or similar role
Computer networks: 2-4 years (Preferred)
Technical Support: 2-4 years (Preferred)
Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments
BS/MS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject a plus
