Sacramento ear, nose, throat…and skin?
You read that right! We are excited to announce that Dermatologist Michael Trauner, M.D., has joined our team. He will start seeing patients Oct. 4, 2016 at the Sacramento & Roseville offices.
Dr. Trauner earned his medical degree from Duke University. He completed his residency in dermatology at the University of California at Davis Medical Center. Dr. Trauner also completed a fellowship in dermatologic surgery at the New England Medical Center in Boston. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the American College of Mohs Surgery.
Dr. Trauner’s addition to Sacramento ENT’s staff means that we are now able to offer dermatology services to our patients. These services include removal of skin lesions (moles, cysts, skin tags and lipomas), treatment of precancers, complete/full body skin exams, skin biopsies and a variety of cosmetic treatments.
Dr. Trauner is most known for his work in skin cancer care. He is one of just a few fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeons in the Greater Sacramento Area. Mohs surgery involves removing one layer of skin cancer at a time. Each layer is carefully examined until only cancer-free tissue remains. Mohs surgery is considered the best procedure to treat non-melanoma skin cancer because of its high cure rate and ability to preserve skin tissue surrounding the cancer.
If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment with Dr. Trauner please contact our office at 916-736-3399.
